Weidmuller has extended its extensive programme of cable glands: The new Klippon® family of cable glands for armoured and non-armoured cables is predestined for use in Ex e (increased safety) and Ex d (flameproof) applications. Weidmüller also provides the appropriate Klippon® blanking plugs KSPM/KSPA as well as other accessories such as lock-nuts, flat seals, serrated washers, shrouds and earth tags. Bearing the Weidmüller logo as a sign of their high quality all Klippon® cable glands KDSU, KDSW, KDSX, KSG and KUB are approved in line with the latest standards, such as ATEX (EN 60079-0/1/7 and EN 61241-0/1) as well as IECEx (IEC 60079-0/1/7). Depending on the type utilised cable glands facilitate the connection of braided, shielded armoured, additional armouring with lead sheathing as well as single-core and metal-foil armoured conductors and cables ranging in size from M20 through to M75. They are suitable for use across a wide temperature range of mostly -60 °C to +180 °C.
