Obsolescence Programme

The Weidmuller obsolescence programme is now available to download.

Weidmüller is the leading provider of solutions for electrical connectivity, transmission, conditioning and processing of power, signals and data in industrial environments. It has over 35,000 products which are available direct from our German Logistics Centre

As part of the natural product life cycle, it is necessary to ensure that the products that Weidmuller offer are up to date, in respects of current standards, technologies and materials. At the same time, Weidmuller reserves the right to improve on our already high quality, industry leading designs, to ensure our Customers and distributors are offered products that are relevant for the 21st century, competitive and fit for purpose.

What does this mean? Occasionally we will have to add specific products to our obsolescence programme and phase them out of our portfolios as stocks become exhausted.

Once a month, Weidmuller will provide each of our trading accounts with an update to the “Obsolescence Programme.”  This will list:

  • All the products that have been added to the Obsolescence.
  • If available and legal to do so, an opportunity for a ‘last chance to buy’.
  • The cancellation date.
  • Where possible, the recommended alternative. The alternative recommended may offer similar functionality but may not necessarily offer the same fit or form.

Update issues will be sent out to all trading accounts on a monthly basis, and can be downloaded from below as well as a master file of all products added to the programme.
