"Security und Administration in Industrial Ethernet (SecIE)"

Detmold, April 20, 2006 | As the use of Industrial Ethernet progresses, closer ties with the existing enterprise IT world are needed. To bring them about, the companies Dehof ingenieur+technik, DS Data Systems, HIMA, Nortel, PerFact and Weidmüller have founded the Security and Administration in Industrial Ethernet (SecIE) initiative. Its objectives are to develop further IT-based standardization in security and administration and take it forward around the world.

The gradual merger of the previously separated field level and enterprise IT require both sides to be taken increasingly into consideration.

The SecIE initiative sees itself as an open group. Companies involved in the described topics can find detailed membership information on the following website: secie.org
