With SAI Bluetooth Weidmüller is supplementing its SAI programme with reliable wireless communications for sensors and actuators.

The new module is suitable for use in applications that are difficult to reach with bus cables, either because they are spread out or due to the physical conditions. An aspect that also applies when plant components are movable.

A single SAI Bluetooth gateway can communicate wirelessly with up to six slave stations. The Bluetooth gateway acts as a Profibus DP station and is a slave in the Profibus system at the same time.

All stations are designed as field devices with protection class rating IP67.
