Industrial Ethernet is at the forefront of communications technology in this sphere – right down to the field level. Installation material sealed to the high-protection class IP 6X is essential for direct mounting tasks in the field level.

To satisfy the requirements in this field, Weidmüller offers an extensive palette of products including the connection socket IE-S-IP67, the cable coupler IE-C-IP67 and the plug IE-P-IP67. The outlet junction box and coupling are fitted with an RJ 45 module featuring IDC technology. The RJ 45 connector is integrated in the module IE-P-IP67.

Field components are connected in an electrical cabinet with their Ethernet cable fed via an installation flange sealed to IP 6X. With the IE-XM-RJ45/RJ45-IP67 and IE-XM-RJ45/IDC-IP67 Weidmüller offers the appropriate installation flange in a light grey finish (RAL 7035). When no Ethernet cable is connected, the installation flange, connection socket and cable coupler can be reliably protected by means of the permanently attached lid. Thus, guaranteeing protection class IP 67.
