Combined lightning and overvoltage protection for LV consumer terminals and electronics

 

The PU I+II COMBI combined overvoltage protection set includes Class 1 PU I TSG triggered dischargers, Class II PU C varistor charge eliminator, and cross-connection bridges.

 

This form of overvoltage protection is used when space is tight. Low-voltage consumer terminals and electronic appliances are protected from overvoltage which can occur during atmospheric discharges (lightning) or switching operations (transients).

 

Class III PU D ZS pluggable overvoltage protection

 

PU D ZS appliance overvoltage protection protects consumer appliances plugged into SCHUKO sockets from transient overvoltage. This appliance overvoltage protection with a 230 V/16 A SCHUKO socket fulfils Class III of IEC 61643-1 and is used in combination with Class II PU C protection.

 

As a further option, PU D ZS protects analogue and digital telephone terminals via RJ45 and RJ11/12 sockets.

Alternatively, PU D ZS F is available for the plug with a PE pin (France/Belgium/Slovakia).
 

Overvoltage protection for Cat. 5 Ethernet

 

Overvoltage protection designed for standard Cat. 5 Ethernet is inserted into the cable in front of the consumer to be protected. The PE to be connected provides protection between the cables and against PE. The levels of protection are selected so as to reduce high interfering pulse to below 45 V.
